A few days ago, on a whim, old Bob bought himself a “Game Boy” mug with thermochromic screens that reveal two views of Super Mario Land, the classic of the Game Boy. It’s not magical, just simple chemistry seen and reviewed, and the title of this article is misleading? Think again! The magic lies elsewhere: without really knowing why, I decided to make a quick video to post on my YouTube page (a “short” as it is commonly called). This short garnered 1,300 views in just under 12 hours (it seems to have since stabilized at 1,400 views), while my 51 other videos – some of which took quite a bit of work – have managed just under 2,000 views over an entire year… Suffice it to say that the view count system on YouTube remains an art that eludes me!
Anyway, before I find a couple more gimmicks to help me become a pro YouTuber, here are some pictures of my new favorite mug, a marvel of Chinese industry absolutely not licensed by Nintendo!
